The student will be reinforced for giving a positive comment (verbal or non-verbal), neutral comment (verbal or non-verbal), or non-verbal negative comment whenever the teacher speaks to him/her.
Later on, with success at this level, we may reinforce the student only
for positive and neutral responses (sort of like a shaping program - see
that home page link for more information on shaping).
